Nama Smaranam with Jakartas Government Officers<\/p>\n

Lord Krsna and His holy name are not different; They are the one and same Absolute Truth who is the all-pervading yet supremely independent form of dynamic spirituality (caitanya vigraha), fully cognizant and full of bliss, without beginning or end. Eternally free of material imperfection (nitya mukta), always situated in pure goodness (suddha sattva), the holy name, identical (abhinna) with He who is denoted by the name (the nami, or Krsna), descends to this world as the complete incarnation of the highest sweetness (rasa).<\/p>\n

Days by days more people interest in spiritual life. The path of spirituality interest people because they try to get the happiness and the highest sweetness but they don\u2019t know the ways. People who have eagerness and humble in their heart have a chance to meet the devotees. Therefore this is the responsibility of every devotee to spread the Holy Name.<\/p>\n

Whatever we speak or hear we shall later contemplate or meditate upon. First one must begin with sravanam, hearing, otherwise how can there be meditation? If one does not know the subject matter of meditation, where is the question of meditation? Therefore there must be hearing and chanting about Lord Visnu (sravanam kirtanam visnoh) – Teachings of Queen Kunti, Chapter 19<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

The Indonesia Bhaktivedanta institute cooperate with the Hindus Spiritual Counseling of Jakartas Government on November 13, 2013 did a day seminar on \u201cnama smaranam\u201d<\/i> in city hall of Jakarta. The audiences of the seminar were the officers of Jakarta Government. The speaker of the seminar was his grace Sachi Putra das the chief of Publication department of Indonesia Bhaktivedanta institute.<\/p>\n

Sachi putra prbhu cited Srila prbhupada lecture on Srimad-bhagavatam \u201cAs soon as you become expert in hearing and chanting, then the next stage is smaranam. Smaranam, thinking of. Anything you speak or hear, later on you contemplate, you meditate, smaranam. So smaranam is the third stage. First of all, one must begin with hearing, sravanam. Otherwise, what about, meditation? If you do not know the subject matter of meditation, where is the question of meditation? And that is chanting. Sravanam kirtanam visnoh. About Lord Visnu. Actually yoga meditation means to see the form of the Lord, four-handed visnu-murti within the heart. That is real meditation . Meditation means to see the form of the Lord within your heart. Because in, in the heart there is the Lord. Isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese ‘rjuna tisthati. So by controlling all the senses The senses are very restless. They are going this way and that way, this way and that way. Mind is going this way, that way. So by this astanga-yoga system, by sitting posture, by controlling the breathing, by modes of different posture of seeing, so many things there are The real thing is to control the mind and concentrate it on the form of Visnu. That is the real thing. That is called samadhi. Pratyahara samadhi. So astanga-yoga means to come to this point of smaranam, smaranam, arcanam.(<\/i>Srila Prabhupada Lecture on Srimad-Bhagavatam, 04-28-73, Los Angeles). The audiences were so astonished with the explanation. They asked many questions related to the sravana, japa, and smaranam. They were satisfied to with the seminar because it could give them a spotlight of new knowledge. Because of their job as officer they don\u2019t have much time to do the religion activity. Through this seminar they felt that make relation with The Lord could be done every time event while working. <\/p>\n

This first seminar was the step stone to the other preaching program in the circle of government officer. They planed that in the future they will invite the Indonesia Bhaktivedanta institute to give another seminar in different topic.
