\nG.B.C. in their favorable recommendation for this scholarly paper.
\nThis turn of events is very auspicious , timely ( Golden Jubilee Celebrations, 50 Th. Anniversary
\nof arrival of His Divine Grace A.C.Bhakti Vedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada,) and its potential unifying effect on I.S.K.Con.world wide Mission.
\n Fifty years ago, on 13Th. September 1965, a cargo ship called JalDuta sailed in to Brooklyn pier of New York Harbor, and brought His Divine Grace to the shores of the greatest city of the New World.
\nAt the age of 70 years, and with no tangible means of material support, He launched worldwide
\nSpiritual Movement, and changed the direction of the entire contemporary world for the betterment of human race. Astonishing even to comprehend !
\nThe real genesis of the I.S.K.Con., from the day of its inception till today, shall be shrouded in
\nmystery and in the unknowable realm till seeker heart is completely purified by virtue of devotional service to the Supreme Lord.
\nMental speculation shall not work. One will have to go back to the source. Authoritative Biography book titled “Lila Mrta ” by Sri Satsvarup Goswami ji is one such book. Now several intimate diaries. by His early disciples are also available. They also provide some intimate glimpses of the life and times of His Divine Grace.
\nSo this Golden Jubilee Celebrations present an unique opportunity to familiarize each and every I.S.K.Con. Devotee, and the entire world to the greatness of our Founder Acharya.
\nThere is a saying on the street, that I.S.K.Con. introduced Krishna to the world, but could not introduce its Founder Acharya to the world. So now is the time to rectify that situation.
\nSome day in future, scholars shall discover the striking similarities , in the trajectory of the lives of
\nHis Divine Grace and Lord Gautama Buddha.
\nGautama Buddha is also addressed as BodhiSattwa, ( one who is fully self and God realized .)
\nAfter one year of great and severe performance of austerities , sitting under the Bodhi tree in
\ntown called Gaya in Bihar , Gautama became fully self realized.i.e. BodhiSattwa.
\nNext thing a bonafide BodhiSattwa is called to do ,is to share and distribute this knowledge
\nto the entire world. So Gautama Buddha travels to a town called Saranath near Varanasi India,
\nand he delivers his first sermon. Rest is history!
\nLike wise His Divine Grace performs severe austerities in Vrindavan India for seven years.
\nHe arrive in Vrindavan in year 1957 from Calcutta, and not only that He translate entire First Canto of Srimad Bhagwatam with His scholarly purports, and publishes it, in those seven years , but for the entire seven years he supports himself by his weekly visits to Delhi India from Vrandavan to distribute His manifesto paper called Back To Godhead.
\nFinally it seems, when this work is completed in seven long years, He departs to New York from
\nVrindavan to distribute and disseminate this perfect philosophy of Bhagwat Dharma, to the entire
\nWorld. Rest is history.<\/p>\n
