This unique event, the idea to appeal to our western born countrymen, was, even for our first of many bonfire kirtans, a great success. \n This unique event, the idea to appeal to our western born countrymen, was, even for our first of many bonfire kirtans, a great success. We were visited by no less than 40 guests throughout the day. Many of these kirtan souls are professional people. Some had to leave early, some wanted to spend the night. In our future planning, as the kirtan gets sweeter and sweeter into the evening, we are arranging for simple overnight stay.
\n The kirtans were, to everyones happiness centered on the MahaMantra. A few the bhajans were mixed in, all Krsna\/ Vaisnava centered. Interspersed were some readings of Krsna\u2019s pastimes which charmed and delighted one and all.
\n Bhaktin Cheryl, a professionally trained at vegetarian cuisine, fascinated everyone with her skills, roasting paneer and veggies from the garden over a wood fire. Veggie marshmallows were handed out\u2026and you know how that went.
\n This is a great formula for Murari\u2019s Kirtan Valley because we have such a unique atmosphere. City folks can get away and have a peaceful, friendly day with the land, cows and Their Lordships, Sri Nitai and Lord Gaura. Many of these friends have come to Gaurapurnima and Radhastami, and other events, and when they enter the kirtan sanctuary, (temple room), many bring gifts and offer obeisnances.
\n I would like to especially thank my godbrother Gayatri prabhu, he and our dear friend Nandini, (Amy) from Nashville are wonderful friends who helped greatly in this humble beginnings of unique kirtan format.
