Arrives Cossington Park 2.30pm for free festival*<\/p>\n<p>The Hare Krishna Rathayatra Festival of Chariots takes place this Sunday 3rd August 2014 for the second largest festival in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the festival will begin outside the newly acquired temple at 31 Granby Street. The Deities will mount the chariot in a special Pahandi Vijaya ceremony, only ever seen in Jagannath Puri at 9.30am!<\/p>\n<p>The 90ft chariot carrying the magnificent Deities of Lord Jagannatha, Subhadra, and Lord Balarama from the City Centre to Cossington Park, accompanied with music, singing, and dancing.<\/p>\n<p>At the Park, revellers will be entertained at a special Mahabharat themed festival&#8211;with dance, kirtan, drama, and exhibitions.
