So far 23 devotees have been engaged in attentive hearing of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s lectures and conversations. To date we have checked 326+ audio files and have found a total of 3,782+ edits and 3,342+ missing words. All of these have now been updated in Vanisource. These are no small improvements; in fact they make the transcriptions much easier to read.

Śrīla Prabhupāda sums up Kṛṣṇa consciousness very nicely with the following words.

The process of Krsna consciousness is to chant Hare Krsna and to hear the sound attentively so that the mind is fixed upon the transcendental vibration of Krsna’s name, which is nondifferent from Krsna the personality
And here he explains the results of attentively hearing the message of the Bhāgavatam.

As soon as one attentively and submissively hears the message of Bhagavatam, by this culture of knowledge the Supreme Lord is established within his heart
The process of hearing attentively about the pastimes of the Lord will endow devotees with innumerable benefits, such as wealth, fame, longevity and other desirable aims of life

Our proofreading process is streamlined and we are able to engage many more devotees. These files can be listened to once, twice and even thrice – for by doing so we can make the transcriptions perfect, more perfect and even most perfect. Thus there is no lack of seva. We can engage hundreds of attentive hearers.
This is the offer at hand, so please give it a go. Together, through attentive hearing, we can bring the transcriptions of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s recorded lectures and conversations to pristine condition for the benefit of all future hearers and readers. The benefits for us are innumerable as Śrīla Prabhupāda explains above.
Find out more about the project here.
And to join the team contact Rishab by email: rishi.nz.108@gmail.com
Uniting Srila Prabhupada’s Multi-lingual Family – update

Proving that Śrīla Prabhupāda is truly the father of a multi-lingual family, this project has so far attracted over 200 devotees from 64 languages. We have created 650 short video clips and they have been subtitled 7,550 times. However there is still lots to do.

As of November 2012 the full Bible has been translated into 518 languages, and 2,798 languages have at least some portion of the Bible. The BBT has printed Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Bhagavad-gītā As It Is in 58 languages and there are one or more of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books in 86 languages.

Our little effort of translating short videos clips into 64 languages can surely be expanded. In fact this is a perfect way to begin translating into a new language – preparing devotees to be translators’ of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books.

This project is targeted to reach 1,080 videos subtitled somewhere between 50,000 to 108,000 times in 500 languages. This will happen when 1008+ devotees join together in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vaniseva.

Blessings from the devotees are requested and whatever practical assistance that can be offered is much appreciated.
More information about Uniting Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Multi-lingual Family can be found here.

By Visnu Murti dasa

As of November 2012 the full Bible has been translated into 518 languages, and 2,798 languages have at least some portion of the Bible.
