Dear GBC members,<\/p>\n

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.<\/p>\n

I was sharing some thoughts with my husband Sesa dasa, and he encouraged that I share it with all of you. I wasn’t willing to do so but I thought may be it is time that I hear him at least once in my 24 years of marriage. <\/p>\n

Our movenment has gone thru so many turmoils over the years and we are again faced with a major predicament. Certainly this is not unusual, this is what we continously see in the Bhagavatam. Since these books are our law books for next so many years we can look at what did those devotees do in such trying times. <\/p>\n

In the Mahabharata we see that Arjuna all along while in the forest in exile, while trying to make peace with the Kauravas and other times was getting advice and help from Krishna. But when he was ready to take the biggest action he completely surrendered to Him. In that surrender he offered some great prayers to Him. <\/p>\n

Draupadi did the same thing, she first tried to save herself thru her intelligence by posing questions, then thru her physical might and ultimately complete surrender and prayers. Again right in the middle of real action she cried out to Govinda and offered prayers to her Lord. <\/p>\n

We see that Vrtrasura right in the middle of action he offered one of the most famous prayers to his Lord. The acaryas comment elaborately on those four prayers. Remember this was right in the middle of a great war. <\/p>\n

There are other such examples in the Bhagavatam of individuals praying, not just before but right in the middle of a turmoil.<\/p>\n

We also see some serious collective praying. The demigods who are the managers of the whole planetary system, saw the earth overburdened with unrighteous kings and could not save it. I am sure they must have tried so many ways which may have included meetings and strategies but they could not save the earth. What did they do? First mother earth who was in distress went to Lord Brahma and asked him for help. He then took all the demigods to Lord Vishnu and they all together prayed to Him . It may seem such an impractical solution but that was there conclusion and it worked! <\/p>\n

You might say that we are already praying, which is true, you all are praying, however like the demigods who were I am sure, also praying individually, nonetheless they still took their precious time and collectively with Lord Lord Brahma went to Sri Vishnu. They physically went to Him and actually offered prayers. <\/p>\n

So all of you have been using your brains, having meetings, have been trying different strategies and also praying individually, but may be now it is time that everyone all together go to Srila Prabhupada with him as your leader and approach Lord Sri Krishna and let Him guide you. It may sound impractical but it is not. <\/p>\n

I say that with great faith since just two weeks ago I experienced His personal hand in protecting me from a near death experience. I was calling out to Him for protection without even consciously thinking of Him and He rescued me. So what to speak if all of you collectively with all your hearts focusing on Him, pray to Him for guidance. Why will He not guide you especially when you have Srila Prabhupada as your leader. <\/p>\n

This is such a good usage of the internet, to fix a day and time for all who are involved in making a decision on this case, to evoke the presence of Srila Prabhupada and then approach Sri Krishna.<\/p>\n

I will take the liberty to make a suggestion to all of you great souls who have so kindly taken such great burdens on your shoulders for our benefit. All glories and empowerment to all of you. When the GBC members are making decision on any case, right in the middle of action, like Vrtrasura, all members may take time to collectively pray to reveal Lord Sri Krishna’s desire. Before every vote they may do that. This will benefit not only all of us but yourselves also. Believe me, I am not some sentimentalist, usually I am accused of being too practical.<\/p>\n

Thankyou for taking the time to read this and I pray that something good may come about from this sharing. If I have offended or wasted anyones valuable time I ask for forgiveness. If I have offended anyone I will conclude that this should be the first and last time I listen to the local GBC! <\/p>\n
