By Rukmini Mohana Das<\/strong><\/p>\n On 9th February, devotees from ISKCON Patna organized first ever program in, Ranchi at Khel Gaon. The program was aimed at providing the basic understanding about following – The purpose of ISKCON, Bhagavad Gita, contribution of Srila Prabhupada to unabridged humanity. Of course the program also had other usual Krishna conscious attractions like Mantra Rock show and prasadam.<\/p>\n The chief speaker was Rambhadra das, Director of ISKCON Youth Forum (IYF), Bihar and Jharkhand. He was a B.Tech engineer from Chandigarh, and was working with TCS & IndiaBulls ltd before joining ISKCON as a celibate monk in 2006.There were several other very prominent personalities present as Guests of Honor, Mr. Sudarshan Bhagat (MP, Minister of State for Rural Development), Mr. Chandreshwar Prasad Singh (a leader of BharatiyaJanata Party, Jharkhand MLA and former \u2018Speaker\u2019 of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly).) Mrs. Gangotri Kujur (Jharkhand State Information Commissioner),Dr Jitu Charan Ram ( BJP MLA from Kanke Legislative Constituency), Mr. Ram Kumar Pahan ( BJP MLA from Kejri, Legislative Constituency) Rambhadra Das spoke about the problems and shortcomings in today’s modern society and how teachings of Bhagavad gita are the only solution to them. He talked about the contribution of Srila Prabhupada to the modern society, by introducing the Vedic Culture outside India for the first time in History. He said Srila Prabhupada gave the way to peace through the science of God, without any amount of technological and scientific development can\u2019t solve our problem. <\/p>\n He also talked about how ISKCON is carrying out the mission of Srila Prabhupada for protecting, preserving & promoting Vedic inheritances, peace in society & by raising people above the conception of nations, caste, color, etc.<\/p>\n The program ended with mesmerizing mantra rock show and prasadam.
