Today is the Day 4 of Earthquake that occurred on 25th April in Nepal.<\/p>\n

Food for life Nepal has been distributing prasadam to all those victims of this disastrous Earthquake that shook Nepal.<\/p>\n

We have been distributing Khichadi prasadam to the victims in different parts of Kathmandu valley.<\/p>\n

On Day 4, we distributed 5500+ plates of prasadam to victims in Kathmandu and Lalitpur and 8000+ plates of prasadam to Bhaktapur victims, making it a total of 55,000+ plates of prasadam in four days.<\/p>\n

In Kathmandu, we distributed prasadam in different Hospitals which housed large number of those victims. Besides hospitals we are distributing prasadam at Parks which are now sites for residence and different Bus stops where a large number of passengers have become victims.<\/p>\n

In Bhaktapur, the whole town is practically on the road. None of the houses are safe. Still, small shakes are going on. People are living in tents and they have no cooking utensils. We have been distributing prasadam to these people too.<\/p>\n

We are happy to know that people are appreciating our endeavor.<\/p>\n

One old man looking at the banner of Srila Prabhupada said, \u201cThis old man is very kind to us\u201d. Devotees here are also boosting the victims psychologically and emotionally. People here love to be with Hare Krsna Devotees.<\/p>\n

We are also extending our services through Health Facilities. Team of 13 Medical crew members from Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Mumbai, with 7 Super specialist Doctors came to Kathmandu at their own cost to serve their best for the Earthquake victims in Nepal. They, together with ISKCON Nepal Doctors made a team of 28 members comprising of 7 Super Specialist Doctors from Mumbai and 5 Specialist Doctors from Nepal along with 12 Paramedical and 4 Medical Volunteers.<\/p>\n

On their first day (29th April) they had their camps at Padma College, near Durbar Square Gate, Bhaktapur. They divided their teams in three groups, first – Psychological care group, second \u2013 Door to door Health care group and third \u2013 Stationary Health care group. Stationary team at Padma College checked 167 patients and Door to door health care group visited 63 families whereas psychological group counselled 4 psychologically traumatized patients. This team aims to provide care to nearby villages such as Changu-Narayan area where no medical facilities have arrived.<\/p>\n

We are also managing a Mobile Health Bus facilities, Free Ambulance services, and Food supplies, Investigations such as X-ray, ECG, Blood Investigations, and Ophthalmological check \u2013 up, Dental check \u2013 up; Psychological counselling to victims who lost their homes or relatives starting from tomorrow.<\/p>\n

This team will also provide minor surgical facilities and some of the orthopedic surgeries after they will receive their consignment which is to be received tomorrow.<\/p>\n

We are doing our best to serve those who are in need of psychological, mental, emotional and spiritual help.<\/p>\n
