{"id":17759,"date":"2015-06-06T08:02:33","date_gmt":"2015-06-06T08:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=17759"},"modified":"2015-06-06T08:02:33","modified_gmt":"2015-06-06T08:02:33","slug":"a-visit-to-ahobilam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=17759","title":{"rendered":"A visit to Ahobilam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-90tlh3IViAE\/VXKoae42ebI\/AAAAAAAAP3E\/sIVqWMeJl54\/s0\/2015-06-06_09-59-30.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-5pI0ZP5mcig\/VXKoiMvhGqI\/AAAAAAAAP3M\/afRki45Ut60\/s0\/2015-06-06_10-00-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Sri Chaitanya Chandra Das: We visited recently in Andhra the Lord of mountains<br \/>\nAppearing in 9 different forms amidst thick plantains<br \/>\nHis name is \u201cNarsimhadev\u201d situated in place called Ahobilam<br \/>\nWhere He appeared for dear Prahlada from the hallowed column.<br \/>\n Jwala, Ahobila, Malola, Kroda, Karanja, Bhargava, Yogananda, Kshatravata, Pavan<br \/>\nAre His different names attracted to whom even demigods come to adulate from heaven.<br \/>\nNever before in life did I think of such adventure even for a minute.<br \/>\nSeeing the precipitous slope ahead I could only reminisce \u2018vertical limit\u2019<br \/>\nThis was once upon a time the palace of Hiranyakashipu, lover of slumber and gold<br \/>\nHe had an acquitted son Prahlada only 5 years old but was very intrepid and bold.<br \/>\nWe also visited Prahlad\u2019s school where he studied under demoniac teachers<br \/>\nWho taught the students, the sons of demons how to be adept cheaters<br \/>\nBut Prahlad never liked the idea to discriminate between a friend and foe.<br \/>\nHe spoke to his friends in recess about how in Bhakti one should grow.<br \/>\nSeeing this the demoniac teachers on Prahlad became livid and wild<br \/>\nThey complained to his father, \u201cInfecting others is this your child!\u201d<br \/>\n Hearing this Hiranyakashipu started shuddering and his lips quivering in extreme anger<br \/>\nThe living entities in the whole universe considered now their lives are in real danger.<br \/>\nBut little Prahlada was impervious &#038; stood there deferentially folding his hands.<br \/>\nBecause he was constantly meditating on the Lord who is master of all the lands.<br \/>\nHiranyakashipu threatened, \u201cIs your Lord in this pillar?
