Hello everyone! <\/p>\n

We are humbly trying to raise some money to help Sri Mayapur International School in West Bengal, India. Their main focus is not only to educate and prepare students with a high level of academic preparation,  but also to help them grow in a very spiritually focused and nurturing atmosphere.<\/p>\n

In August 2015, my family and I spent some time there. My wife had applied to do humanitarian work at Sri Mayapur International School in West Bengal and the plan was to also have our 3 kids go to school there.
A few days after we got there, there was a bad flood that created many problems for the school. Water level was chest high  in my area but higher in others. The beginning of school was postponed due to flood. Water level at the school buildings was a lot deeper than in other areas of the Mayapur village. <\/p>\n

The school really needs your help to complete several much needed repairs and to replace materials which were damaged. School staff had moved library books to higher grounds, but even that got damaged (pics). Some buildings are in need of major repairs and other structures need to be completely rebuilt due to collapsing during the flood.<\/p>\n

This international school hosts kids from all over the world. School teachers love their jobs and come to Sri Mayapur School in a mood of service, and often work with limited resources. The flood has caused their situation to be even more austere.  <\/p>\n

Below is a list of what they need at this time. If you can help more, I am sure it will be wisely used, but here are the main things that need funding in order for them to be able to run properly again. (Rs=rupees)<\/p>\n

1. Repair to outdoor structures = Rs.1,00,000\/- ($1,550 USD)<\/p>\n

2. 4 Motor Repairing = Rs.10,000\/- ($160 USD)<\/p>\n

3. Collapsed Music Hut = Rs.2,00,000\/- ($3,100 USD)<\/p>\n

4. Painting & Classroom Display Boards = Rs.1,00,000\/- ($1,550 USD)<\/p>\n

5.Damage to kitchen and Fridge = Rs.1,80,000\/- ($2,800 USD)<\/p>\n

6. Toilet Repair = Rs.5,000\/- ($80 USD)<\/p>\n

7. Garden Damage = Rs.15,000\/- ($230 USD)<\/p>\n

10. 5 desktop computers, 3 printers and major repairs to photocopier machine due to moisture damage = Rs.1,50,000 \/- ($2,300 USD)<\/p>\n

The total cost of damage due to flood is over Rs 8 lakhs (approximately US $12,000)<\/p>\n
