Delhi Stadium Event to Honor Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
\n\u201cAlthough the Bhakti movement has spread far and wide, not many people know its founder Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu \u2013 even in India,\u201d says ISKCON\u2019s communications director in North India, Yudhistira Govinda Das.
\nWith the Festival of Inspiration in New Delhi this May 28th, he hopes to begin changing that. Supported by the Government of India\u2019s Ministry of Culture, the event will take place at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium near Parliament. It\u2019s expected to draw a full house.
\nThe festival will commemorate the 500th anniversary of Sri Chaitanya visiting Lord Krishna\u2019s home village, Vrindavana. But more than that, it will celebrate the timeless teachings of India \u2013 service, compassion and devotion to God \u2013 that the 15th-century saint and Avatar exemplified and broadcast.
