\nOn Going (from the Storefront) into the Street.
\nLord Vishnu, guard this boy as he goes out
\nor if You want me to die today, take me.
\nI can\u2019t fall in the street or be crushed or stabbed.
\nThat can only happen to the body.
\nLet me chant the Lord\u2019s Holy Names
\nat the end and right now.
\nAnd here is my identity
\nin case no one knows,
\na disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami.
\nTell him I was on an errand for him.
\nBut I don\u2019t want this to happen.
\nI am only beginning to learn bhakti
\nand my heart and brainstuff is dirty.
\nI\u2019m going out now, Lord Vishnu,
\nand I pray to stay within You.
\nAll glories to You and to those devotees
\nlike Swamiji and Narada and Vyasadeva,
\nwho tell us how to join with Krishna
\nin the eternal blissful world.
