I was tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep, so I got up and went to the laundry room where this poem flowed like destiny onto paper. <\/p>\n<p>Nothing like this had happened to me before. It was exciting. It bolstered my imagination of what inspired writing, such as that of Srila Prabhupada, might be like. I could feel how it came through me more than from me. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not pretending that this is anything more than a simple poem, but the role it played in my personal understanding of certain spiritual phenomena was monumental. <\/p>\n<p>Transcendental incantation<br \/>\nsurpassing imagination<br \/>\nsyllables for meditation<br \/>\nrythmic cleansing tune<\/p>\n<p>Consciousness in transformation<br \/>\npenetrating sound vibration<br \/>\nmind switched to another station<br \/>\nheart like moon in June<\/p>\n<p>Internal jubilation<br \/>\naudible illumination<br \/>\ndepression meets its devastation<br \/>\nlike darkness at high noon<\/p>\n<p>Illusion&#8217;s web in ruination<br \/>\nsoul and body separation<br \/>\nwith great concentration<br \/>\nchanting in my room<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/iske.jpg\" alt=\"Hare Krishna\" \/><strong>By Madan Mohan dasa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> I wrote the first draft of this one night while living in the Brooklyn temple, nearly 20 years ago.
