Yet another year has passed in our lives as we approach Gaura Purnima 2017, and we wish to take this opportunity to once again thank you for your support and encouragement. Your dedication has inspired us spiritually, and has helped us practically to achieve our goals and maintain the construction pace over the years. In many ways this is the real New Year celebration for all ISKCON devotees, as we observe Mahaprabhu\u2019s appearance and make our vows and commitments to continue to help expand His mission throughout the world and deepen our own Krishna consciousness.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur every day is a New Year. Our Krsna consciousness is so nice, the more you advance, you see new year, new year. That’s all. Nothing is old. We are feeling new pleasure in every moment.\u201d (Morning Walk — January 3, 1974, Los Angeles)
\nThe building of the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium is especially important in this regard. It is not only the establishing of ISKCON\u2019s World Headquarters in the Holy Dhama of Mayapur, but the consecration of the \u2018mother temple\u2019, so to speak, of which all other temples will be expansions. The TOVP will become the main transcendental battleship from which we fight Kali\u2019s agents and dispel the clouds of ignorance and illusion. And perhaps most importantly, the TOVP represents the highest truth of Gaudiya Vaishnava theology, wherein the jiva can awaken its eternal relationship with the supreme forms of Godhead, Sri Sri Radha Krishna, a most rare opportunity afforded to us by the Lord Himself as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.<\/p>\n
“I have named this temple Sri Mayapur Candrodaya Mandir, the Rising Moon of Mayapur. Now make it rise, bigger and bigger until it becomes the full moon. And this moonshine will be spread all over the world.

\nHere are some highlights of our construction progress in 2016:
\nExternal concreting of the three main Domes and eight Chatris was completed.
\nThe main Dome Kalashes, Chatri Kalashes and three Chakras being manufactured in Russia are almost complete, with the first shipment expected to arrive in February, 2017.
\n72 GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) Dome brackets for Kalashes are in production at the GRC factory on location in Mayapur.
\nTitanium Nitrate ribbons were installed on the Chatris and blue tile laying commenced.
\nChatri marble cladding, pillar placement and ornamental peacock installation commenced.
\nA CNC router was purchased to create custom molding patterns for GRC molds.
\nArtisan work and marble cladding on the inner staircase walls commenced.
\nRainwater piping installation on the exterior walls and underground continues.
\nMetal casting of various fences and railings commenced.
\nWaterproofing, electrical work and brick laying is ongoing.<\/p>\n
