By Ladali Devi Dasi<\/strong><\/p>\n Mother Vrajavadhu will turn 94 years old on December 25 and her desire is to live in Mayapur and prepare to leave her body.<\/p>\n Mother Vrajavadhu is an extraordinary devotee. besides her humor and quick wit she is a joy to associate with. She has been humbly serving Srila Prabhupada for 36 years and has been a loyal follower of all his instructions. Her main service has been supporting and caring for Krsna’s cows through ISCOWP. <\/p>\n It was Vrajavadhu who saved the 3 month old brothers, Vraja and Gita from the slaughter house. After 16 years of dedicated service Vraja left his body last year and Gita has now taken the lead of the heard in Vraja’s absence. There is a four page offering in this years Vyasa Puja book from ISCOWP, describing the miraculous life of these two brothers and the passing of Vraja. These amazing pastimes took place due to Mother Vrajavadhu’s natural compassion towards Krsna’s cows and oxen. Last week Vrajavadhu and I attended a Japa workshop at Giriraj Swami’s Ashram in Carpinteria, Ca. <\/p>\n We commented to Vrajavadhu that she was a cowherd girl, and in her witty manner she replied, ” I’m a cowherd girl without a cow” everyone present delighted in her comment. Before the end of the retreat Giriraj Swami told Vrajavadhu that she was an angel. Besides her love, support and affection for Krsna’s cows, she has been humbly serving Radha Giridhari in San Diego for over 25 years. On behalf of Vrajavadhu’s deep desire to move to Mayapur and leave her body we have discussed with her a plan to try out a three month stay and see how well she does before making the long term move. <\/p>\n The mataji that volunteered for this service had to step down due to personal responsibilities. We are seeking a care giver who can stay with her in the conch building from December through February. Plane fare, room, prsadam and a moderate allowance will be provided in exchange for keeping a close eye on her, watching where she walks so she doesn’t fall and being prepared to get her proper medical attention in any situation when needed. <\/p>\n She is in good health and enjoys reading in and taking walks around the Mayapur gardens.
