First weekend of Novembre we hold a humble gathering at an small village of Avila, at two hours drive from Madrid towards the West, a mild area in the centre of Spain where the clima allows harvesting in the summer, in the winter too and a variaty of ripenned fruits grow along the year, as citrics and other appreciated variaties.<\/p>\n

Along this meeting we explored the facilities we already can count with to start this new project. First thing we need is land, and to get it we need to consider capital. Right now we can afford getting a plot of land of 9.8 acres, which equals 4 hectares. Considering that the south of Avila has nice clima, good soil, water, rain fall, there is no ice in the winter and lots of sunshine along the year, it is a good start to keep our spirits optimistic.<\/p>\n

At this meeting we invited a groop of devotees who are willing to buy land around the same area for retreats and education. Both parties were presenting their objectives which we maintained unchanged. What I mean is that one groop is willing to educate and organize retreats and the other, us, we want to developpe Varna Ashram which also includes education. Although concived from different perspectives, we finally concluded that we could bring both teams together while keeping them managerial and legaly separated. This brings in more facilities in the service of Srila Prabhupada, offers more possibilites to get a better deal to purchase, and an opportunity for us to raise over scheptism that was willing to discourage the iniciative of the challenge. Since we have not bought the land yet, we invite here all those interested on the subject first understand what do we want to accomplish, and if you find this a plus to pleasing Srila Prabhupada s wishes, you are most welcome to offer your contribution or donation to facilitate more opportunities for the seeking souls. <\/p>\n

The conclusion of the meeting was that there has not been many Varna Ashram projects based on the main factor that is meant for: giving free land to all sencire souls who are willing to live a simple life, provide education to all on how to maintain a family according to needs and skills while raising the self in a honest pursuit of pleasing and reaching a Higher conscience . There might be a few projects like this, or we may not have any. Certainly not enough. Therefore we find this is the right time to facilitate land for those who want to abide by the teachings of simple living and high thinking.<\/p>\n
