For example, when Srila Prabhupada began translating what he hoped would be the entire Srimad Bhagavatam, he knew it was a monumental endeavor that would take many years. The text he chose was the ripened fruit of all Vedic literature and an appropriate text for his audience. Being a master of spiritual sciences, he carefully chose what text to focus on. When Rupa Gosvami was originally composing one of his books, both Lord Caitanya and Satyabhama (in a dream) fine-tuned his ideas with various instructions, which ultimately culminated into Lalila-Madhava and Vidadga-Madhava.

In the introductory verses to Brihad Bhagavatamrta Sanatana Gosvami states: This book, which is the essence of all bhakti shastras, was revealed by the Lord who is dear to the heart.

Srinivasa Acarya wrote, nana shastra vicarinaika nipunau, sad dharma samsthapakau: The six gosvamis expertly scrutinized all Vedic literature with the aim of establishing eternal religious principles for the benefit of all human beings. On the cover-page of his original Srimad Bhagavatams printed in India, Srila Prabhupada quoted: He lives forever by his divine instructions, and the follower lives with him. (In more recent editions this was edited out.)

Bhaktivinoda Thakura penned a poem about Srila Haridasa Thakura wherein he says: He reasons ill who tells that Vaisnavas die, when thou art living still in sound! In other words, when a pure liberated soul pens a book, those words, which transcend the modes of material nature, are the essence of what he wishes to convey to us conditioned souls to enlighten us. In a sense, the Vaisvava acaryas live in their books, which nourish and vitalize our love for the Lord and His associates. Imagine how much effort went into writing each book!

With this in mind, we began recording the books of previous Vaisnava acaryas a few years ago, and named our program Sadhusanga. com. The idea being that by listening to the writings of liberated souls we associate with them, which is <isanga</i with <isadhus.</i We even set up a website so anyone from any part of the world can directly download the files and listen to the recordings, or even make copies for friends. Every month we get hits from approximately 40 different countries, proving it's a modern-day digital Brihat Mrdanga.

Thus far we've completed 16 titles, totaling more than 36 hours reading time, and from 12/4 thru 12/31 all our downloads are on sale for HALF PRICE. Please take advantage of our offering, and visit http://www.Sadhusanga.com.

Lastly, here's another sweet verse from Lord Caitanya's teachings to Santatana Gosvami: Nitya siddha krsna prema, sadhya kabhu naya, sravanadi suddha citte karaye udaya; Pure love for Krsna is eternally established in the hearts of the living entities. It is not something to be gained from another source. When the heart is purified by hearing and chanting, this love naturally awakens.

Dhruva Maharaja dasa: Thus far we’ve completed 16 titles, totaling more than 36 hours reading time, and from 12/4 thru 12/31 all our downloads are on sale for HALF PRICE.

[72

post-4876","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-message-board
["GET
