(Essentially: how to make \u201csimple living and high thinking\u201d intellectually attractive and plausible)<br \/>\n \u201cCowspiracy\u201d \u2013 the big environmental protection organizations studiously avoid the issue of meat production.<br \/>\n (Same silence in the EAT Forum (Sweden) \u201cHow Food Can Save the World\u201d article.)<br \/>\n One thing is clear \u2013 environmentalism is mainstream, and we can take advantage.<br \/>\n Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics, \u201cThe Ethics of Eating Animals\u201d conference.<br \/>\n \u201cReframing\u201d traditional (Indian) thought and practice as therapy <br \/>\n( actually the therapeutic paradigm has an ancient pedigree in India)<br \/>\npresenting Dharma, Yoga, and their culmination in Bhakti<br \/>\nDharma: \u201cEstablishing Moral Community: the Fivefold Sacrifice (pa\u00f1ca-yaj\u00f1a)\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Response to the condition of existential debt \u2026 (in five features: deva-\u1e5b\u1e47a, \u1e5b\u1e63\u012b-\u1e5b\u1e47a, pit\u1e5b-\u1e5b\u1e47a, n\u1e5b-\u1e5b\u1e47a, and bh\u016bta-\u1e5b\u1e47a)<br \/>\n\u2026 which is easy to perform (easy and straightforward compared to complex contemporary multinational capitalist consumer-based life)<br \/>\n \u2026 consisting of five \u201csacrifices\u201d \u2013 five types of giving, which is truly global exchange.<br \/>\n The therapy: (1) quid pro quo exchange consciousness, >> (2) gratitude for goodwill and trust, inspiring goodwill and trustworthiness\u2026<br \/>\n \u2026 thus establishing a \u201cmoral community of mutual trust and responsibility, mutual obligations, reciprocal acknowledgements of rights and duties and the general demand for inter-personal regard\u201d (K. Stamm)that involves all beings, visible and invisible.<br \/>\n Implied metaphysics: behind all existence is a conscious principle. <br \/>\n  Yoga: \u201cRehabilitation Through Yoga\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  Metaphysical basics to understand Yoga\u2019s transformative potential: puru\u1e63a &#038; prak\u1e5bti<br \/>\n The human condition as a diseased condition: PYS Ch. 1: vy\u0101dhi to sam\u0101dhi. <br \/>\n a\u1e63\u1e6d\u0101\u1e45ga-yoga >> yama &#038; niyama >> ahi\u1e41sa \u2026 &#038; praty\u0101h\u0101ra (in contrast to aty\u0101h\u0101ra.)<br \/>\n\u2026 leading to shrinking and ideally erasing all forms of violence <br \/>\n  Bhakti: \u201cCurative Devotion\u201d <\/p>\n<p> So far: moral community and rehabituation, based on non-reductionist (all is matter and energy) metaphysics. <br \/>\n But neither of these practices \u2013 Dharma or Yoga \u2013 are going to be attractive to the vast majority of people. <br \/>\n Hence, the third option, bhakti, by which the trans-temporal self experiences relishable aesthetic relationship with its trans-temporal counterpart, the supreme self or over-soul (param\u0101tm\u0101). <br \/>\n Bhakti springs from the natural inclination of the self to be consequentially reformed to enable transcendent relationship. <br \/>\n patra\u1e41 pu\u1e63pa\u1e41 phala\u1e41 toya\u1e41\u2026 &#038; yat karo\u1e63i yat a\u015bn\u0101si\u2026<br \/>\n These acts are deeply therapeutic, by bringing everyone quickly in ever deepening loving exchange in divine participation. <br \/>\n One\u2019s own personhood fully unfolds, leading to realization of the common personhood of all beings\u2026<br \/>\n \u2026 such that moral community expands out into devotional community in expanding spheres of compassion and care. <br \/>\n Still, who will do this?
