An angered student finds a solution!
\nHe saw my sign: Meditation, Yoga and Philosophy, then, from a distance he shouted:
\n\u201cTHIS IS WHAT I NEED! THIS IS WHAT I NEED! ANGER IS EATING ME UP.\u201d Then he came to the book table looking for help.
\nI told him, \u201cThe reason you feel so much anger is because you\u2019re thinking you\u2019re something you aren\u2019t. This body \u2013 I pointed to his body \u2013 is not who you are. You\u2019re the soul within.\u201d
\nThen I showed him the nice painting of the saintly person seeing the soul in the brahmana, the cow, the elephant, the dog, and the dog-eater.
\nI said, \u201cWhen you understand you\u2019re the soul, different from the body, you\u2019ll not only be friendly to people but kind to all living entities. Wouldn\u2019t that be nice?\u201d
\nHe said, \u201cThat would be great. And this book teaches me how to be like that?\u201d
\nI responded, \u201cYes, it does.\u201d
\nHe gave a nice donation, and I invited him to visit a devotee\u2019s home that has been turned into a bhakti center, where newcomers can hear about Krsna.
\nThis took place at a university in Dallas Texas. The students in Dallas are the most receptive students I\u2019ve found anywhere, I\u2019m going to miss this place.
\nLeaving soon to Denver, San Diego, Los Angeles, Australia, India, South America etc.
