Mathura Kishor das: It is with a grieving heart that we inform of Rupa Raghunatha Prabhu’s leaving the body. Rupa Raghunatha was among the first devotees in the former Soviet Union who was initiated by Harikesh Swami in 1978. Originally from Latvia, his preaching later extended to Russia, Armenia and Estonia, where he spent the last decade of his life. Although he had a deformed body, his spirit and intellect were exceptional. His preaching and example were a source of inspiration for a vast number of devotees who came in contact with him. As Rupa Raghunatha Prabhu left his body of the auspicious day of Shiva Ratri and while facing his Deities and altar, we have every reason to believe that the destination of this unique devotee will be most favorable for devotional service. He will be sorely missed, however, by those left behind. <\/p>\n
