\n A Grand Success (Album of photos)
\nISKCON Dallas Kirtan50 culminated with Maha-Puspa Abhisekha held on Jan. 1st. Bada Haridas Prabhu sang beautifully just prior to the opening of the altar curtain, as did Govinda Swami Maharaja who took over and led kirtan during the entire flower festival. Petals from thirty-thousand roses bathed the divine forms of Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandji, Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva Subhadra, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. Giriraj Swami Maharaja, Rtadhvaja Swami Maharaja, Guru Prasad Swami Maharaja, Dhirasanta Swami Maharaja, yours truly and many other exalted Vaisnavas were given the opportunity to serve the deities in this way. As the kirtan reached its climax, we gathered Their Lordships’ maha-prasadam flower petals and showered the Vaisnavas, who went wild and danced with abandon. The kirtan continued for hours, with Rtadhvaja Swami Maharaja and BB Govinda Swami Maharaja leading the devotees in some very innovative dance steps. The main organizers, Mother Padma and her son Haridas and the entire team of devotees in the Dallas community deserve great appreciation for all their hard work to make this year\u2019s Kirtan50 a grand success.
