Lord Advaita Acarya\u2019s Divine Appearance Day
\n\u201cLord Advaita Acarya is the incarnation of Maha-Vi\u1e63\u1e47u , whose main function is to create the cosmic world through the actions of m\u0101y\u0101. Because He is non-different from Hari, the Supreme Lord, He is called Advaita, and because He propagates the cult of devotion, He is called \u0100c\u0101rya. He is the Lord and the incarnation of the Lord\u2019s devotee. Therefore I take shelter of Him.\u201d

\n\u015ar\u012b Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya is the disciple of M\u0101dhavendra Pur\u012b and is combined incarnation of Mah\u0101-Vi\u1e63\u1e47u and Sad\u0101\u015biva. He is one of the main personalities of the Pa\u00f1ca-tattva and stands on \u015ar\u012b Caitanya Mah\u0101prabhu\u2019s far right, next to \u015ar\u012b Nity\u0101nanda Prabhu. He was born on the seventh day of the bright fortnight in the month of Magha in the year 1433 AD, in a village named Lauda in Srihatta. From there, he left and moved to Navahatta and later to \u015a\u0101ntipura. He also has a house in Navadv\u012bpa, near the Yoga-p\u012b\u1e6dha birthplace of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya Mah\u0101prabhu.
\nSeeing the condition of the illusioned souls of the world, Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya worshipped and appealed for the Lord\u2019s descent to deliver mankind. The only thing Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya was concerned about was the elevation of consciousness of the conditioned souls. He wanted to elevate their consciousness to the platform of devotional service to \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. It was only by the request of Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya did the Lord descend upon the earth planet just a little over 500 years ago.
\nIn \u015ar\u012b M\u0101y\u0101pur dh\u0101m, Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya\u2019s appearance day is wonderfully celebrated. Beginning preparations from the day before, the Mayapur community devotees prepare flower decorations for the pleasure of the Lord. They make beautiful flower mukut, or head pieces as well as a floral effulgence to be placed behind Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya. They also make a beautiful replica of His lotus feet with the various auspicious markings. Around 11am, they have k\u012brtan leading up to a wonderful abhi\u1e63eka of Sri Advaita \u0100c\u0101rya.
\nIn \u015ar\u012bla Narottama d\u0101sa \u1e6ch\u0101kura\u2019s song S\u0101vara\u1e47a-\u015ar\u012b-Gaura-P\u0101da-Padme from Pr\u0101rthan\u0101, he prays, \u201cBe merciful, Advaita Prabhu, husband of S\u012bt\u0101. On the strength of your mercy, I will attain Caitanya and Nit\u0101i.\u201d
