The GBC meetings continued today with an amazing two hour presentation on book distribution from Vaisheshika prabhu, one of the main leaders of the resurgence of the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books around the world. All the GBC members were deeply affected by his sincerity and heart felt commitment to this most essential program of His Divine Grace. The enthusiasm generated in the room was quite overwhelming, and many of the members, who previously had done a lot of book distribution, spoke of their experiences and desires to see it come to the same levels it was at in the time of Srila Prabhupada’s physical presence.

\nThe GBC meetings begin this morning.<\/p>\n

\nGBC Chairman Bhakti Caru Maharaja brings the meeting to order, before introducing Vaisheshika prabhu.<\/p>\n

\nVaisheshika prabhu’s dynamic presentation struck all the GBC members very deeply, looking at book distribution from different wonderful perspectives.<\/p>\n

\nAnuttama prabhu a GBC member who in his younger days distributed many books, became exhilarated by the presentation.<\/p>\n

\nVaisheshika prabhu explains how he and his teams put into effect a GBC resolution from the previous year.<\/p>\n

\nGopala Krishna Maharaja, one of the leaders in book distribution in the world, presented some inspirations.<\/p>\n

\nRomapada Maharaja from North America expesses some insights.<\/p>\n

\nBhanu Maharaja from South India became ecstatic about the presentation.<\/p>\n

\nTamohara prabhu from Alachua in USA expresses some thoughts.<\/p>\n

\nVaisheshika prabhu dstributes a book to Navina Nirada prabhu, himself a long time successful book distributor, using an Arabic language card made up of lines for distributing books to Arabic people.<\/p>\n

\nVaisheshika prabhu explained how the BBT has made up cards in many languages for distributing Prabhupada’s books. He had spent five days immediately before the meetings in Jagannatha Puri with a group of 100 Chinese, Japanese and American devotees and they distributed 5000 books in that time, although not one devotee spoke a word of Oriya, the language of Jagannatha Puri.<\/p>\n

\nNiranjana Maharaja, another GBC member who is a long time book distributor, expresses some realizations.<\/p>\n

\nMadhu Sevita prabhu, GBC for parts of Europe, explains to the devotees that he is printing the largest book in the world, a version of Bhagavad Gita which will weigh 850 kgs.<\/p>\n
