On Sunday, world-famous theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking, mostly known as a brilliant mind in a paralyzed body, he’s prided himself on making his complex physical concepts accessible to the public and writing the bestseller,\u00a0“A Brief History of Time\u201d has passed away.<\/p>\n

It’s surprising to know that this academic celebrity, who is known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes does not believe either in after life or heaven that exists beyond the universe. In his best seller A Brief History of Time, he has mentioned that heaven or an afterlife awaits us is a “fairy story” for people who are afraid of death. <\/p>\n

He further said, “I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark”.<\/p>\n

While reading his writings I can only recall the Gita where the Lord says in 9.12

\nr\u0101k\u1e63as\u012bm \u0101sur\u012b\u1e41 caiva

Those who are thus bewildered are attracted by demonic and atheistic views. In that deluded condition, their hopes for liberation, their fruitive activities, and their culture of knowledge are all defeated.<\/p>\n

The whole world looks at him as a genius physicist who has made various theories to substantiate his views or ideologies on the cosmos. But unfortunately he has not understood the real science of the Soul. <\/p>\n

Thus Lord says in the BG.3.21 yad yad \u0101carati \u015bre\u1e63\u1e6dhas tat tad evetaro janah … <\/p>\n

Therefore the leaders have lost their real intelligence and the innocent are accepting such atheistic doctrines created by such atheistic leaders and leading a dreadful future.
\nTherefore Srila Prabhupada wanted to preach Krishna consciousness very scientifically to the scientific world systematically to establish the real truth. <\/p>\n

With our tiny brains we are trying to measure the infinite which is impractical. As told, if I want to become a lawyer I need to approach a law school where there are qualified teachers who can teach law. In the same way to understand the sciences of the Soul we need to approach those who are self realized in this science and learn from them, that is also the Lord\u2019s instruction in the 4th chapter of Bhagavad Gita. <\/p>\n

Now gone forever Prof.Stephen Hawking will witness for himself whether there is hell and heaven and whether life after life exists. After all isn\u2019t the taste of the pudding is in the eating? Rest in peace prof. Hawking! Hare Krishna<\/p>\n
