\nA snap shot or picture
\nI share, where I often dwell
\ncontemplating this life
\nand my real spiritual nature.<\/p>\n
We are all so complex
\nif we really dig deep
\nbeyond superficial lies
\nparts of many births color us.<\/p>\n
My heart beats, feeling
\njust because I live, yearning
\namidst objects and things, temporal,
\na diamond cage, veils my soul.<\/p>\n
The body means projecting
\nour desires, our \u201cmy\u201ds
\nonto our made up \u201cI\u201ds
\nthe egos\u2019 delight, but souls\u2019 plight.<\/p>\n
Thank God, the Holy Name unraveling
\nillusory desires, giving a higher taste,
\nstill, my life is swirling, between
\nthese planes and subtle dimensions.<\/p>\n
Our souls\u2019 nature is to serve,
\nbut to who or what, the question is–
\nour senses, heart, mind? or the Lord
\nof Love, Flute playing Krishna?\u2013our choice.<\/p>\n
O Krishna, Krishna, will you save
\nme from myself by allowing,
\nmy real self—who is yours,
\nto emerge from so many layers?<\/p>\n
Sitting in the store, feeling
\nthe music, thinking of you amidst
\nthe glamor of jewels, delicious smells
\ndelightful colors, all religious traditions.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m a tiny giver, yet who
\ncan I really help?\u2013at least myself?
\nsome only partially, others repelled,
\nthough I pray for them.<\/p>\n
Every moment an opportunity
\nto give, share and love more–
\nregardless of our occupation
\nwe can be a Divine change agent.<\/p>\n
Spiritual life is about change,
\nshedding the temporary skin idea,
\nremembering who we truly are,
\nand giving that out, like a light.<\/p>\n
To the degree our soul is
\nuncovered, selfishness lost,
\nthe Lord the goal of our heart
\nwe can be helpful to our self and others.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow begins and is created
\nby today, and so many “todays” make up
\nthe months and years of life\u2013
\nthen death brings our final exam.<\/p>\n
And so I live and choose, ‘cus each day\u2019s
\nall we have, and I may die today or tomorrow;
\nwhat is valuable?–to love and serve
