\u201cKrishna\u2019s methods of training\u201d
\nBB Govinda Swami: One should feel oneself meek and humble and also has to tolerate. Tolerance without any limits. Krishna will do this to us because that\u2019s the standard. He\u2019ll do it to us. It\u2019s not that He dislikes us for a moment. But He will test our tolerance until the end of our ability to tolerate anything. We think: \u201cAfter this point I\u2019m gonna go crazy\u201d. And Krishna says \u201cOk\u201d and will push us a few kilometres beyond that point, to make us see that we have to tolerate everything without limit.
\nHas anyone ever felt that that\u2019s the end? Has anyone ever felt that way? At the very end. I\u2019ve described this situation before: like being at the bottom of the Ganga, with a big stone on top of you, no place to go, no air to breath. Or being just backed up against the wall, no place to turn, no place to to run to, no place to hide. You are just like against the wall and you don\u2019t know what to do and there\u2019s only thing you can do is to call upon the Krishna\u2019s Name. And then when you surrender to Krishna, then Krishna just\u2026 phew! Everything will changes in a second. Just in the second everything can change, if you surrender to Krishna.
\nKrishna is unlimited, so His ability to press us against the wall is unlimited, His ability to make us go beyond that is also unlimited. Don\u2019t think He does this only to us. He even did it to the ladies in Vrindavan, to push them so that their consciousness would be exactly the way that He wanted it. And when their consciousness became exactly as He wanted it, just in that second Krishna showed Himself and said \u201cAlright, now let us associate\u201d
\nThose are good stories for us. Not so that when we hear stories like and we cry like the sahajiyas or something like that. But we to know what Krishna\u2019s teaching methodology is. And many times when we get pressed flat against the wall, or everything is so black that it can\u2019t be blacker or we find ourselves at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean with no air to breath and we think:
\n\u201cOh, that\u2019s because of that damn temple president! Oh it\u2019s because of that temple council! Oh, that\u2019s because of that mean old sanyasi Govinda Maharaja! Oh, it\u2019s because of this or it\u2019s because of that! That is why I am in this horrible situation! Because all these guys are against me! All these guys are making intrigues and making politics against me, because they can\u2019t understand how cool I am! They are just envious me, because I am better than them! This is why it\u2019s all happening: because they can\u2019t see that I\u2019m better than all of them! So they\u2019re just doing this whole politic against me!\u201d We\u2019re thinking like that.
\nAnd it\u2019s just Krishna. It\u2019s just Krishna. Krishna says \u201cO, you think you\u2019re better than everyone else, right? Oh, you think you\u2019re so clever, because you\u2019re translating book into Kazakh language. Oh you\u2019re so clever, because you can give cool talk on Krishna consciousness all about psychology. Oh you think you\u2019re so cool, because you can lead a kirtan. Oh, you think you\u2019re so cool, because you can cook a good samosa. Oh, you think you\u2019re so cool, because you have enough energy and practically speaking nothing can stop you and you can just walk all over everyone.
\nOk, what are you going to do? You are flat against the wall. Hey, Mr. Cool, you\u2019re flat against the wall! You can\u2019t do anything and you go crazy! If you\u2019re so cool, why don\u2019t you do something? You\u2019re so clever, so crooked, so intelligent, smarter than everyone else. Ok, come on, do something\u201d. And we can\u2019t even move and we\u2019re just going crazy and insane, it seems like life is coming to an end. And what is required to change?
