By Shastra dasa<\/strong><\/p>\n In Ghana, one Reverend Minister of the Catholic Church made a comment when we took the students of Lord Krishna\u2019s Academy for harinam that ended in a beach picnic. He told me, \u201cI have heard your members singing and dancing many times but the way the children sing is more penetrating and touchy to the heart.\u201d<\/p>\n HH Kavicandra Swami leads the children on harinam whenever he visits Africa and enlivens them. African people generally love music, and from a young age children sing a lot in the school and church. Devotee children too are not shy to take part in harinama, and they used to be very eager to have a chance to lead the harinama. Because of the purity of heart of the children, the response to the chanting was so sweet and heart-penetrating.<\/p>\n The chanting started from the school main gate right down to the front of the Pancha Tattva temple extension. After dancing ecstactically for ten minutes before their Lordships, they proceeded to the Goshalla, Grihasta Area, round Srila Prabhupada\u2019s Samadhi and back to the school.<\/p>\n The Nagara sankirtan department on regular basis organizes harinam for the children and I discover it always turns up to be sweeter and more attractive…The Departmant also has a special \u201cHarinama Rikshaw\u201d that can seat about 12 small children.<\/p>\n Parents should encourage their children to develop the taste for harinam now at the early stage\u2026..Catch them young, that will help them become future kirtan leaders. \nOn the 19th of August 2008, between 4.00 pm to 6.00pm, over two hundred children from the Bhaktivedanta National School in Mayapur did Harinam. They were accompanied by the school staff members, parents, pilgrims visiting Sri Dhama Mayapur and the members of the Nagara Sankirtan party with five mrdangas, many kartals, cymbals and other musical instruments. The mood and vibration created was like is described in Caitanya Caritamrta \u2026\u2026. When the tumultuous vibration of sankirtana resounded, all good fortune immediately awakened, and the sound penetrated the whole universe through the fourteen planetary systems.
