Who Am I \u2013 UID or SID
\nEvery living entity entrapped in this material world is wondering from one species to another, from one planet to another, from one enjoyment to another, from one body to another and from one bodily stage to another.
\nIn this material universe, every living entity is covered with 24 components, which forms a body out of 8.4 million species. Soul, the unit part of a body is permanent and the 24 components, which forms a subtle and a gross body, changes from time to time.
\nDuring this course of life, the living entity identifies herself sometimes as an animal, as a human being, as a father, as a mother, as a husband, as a wife, as a child, as a teacher, as a businessmen, as a soldier or as a king. These thoughts of being a species or being a designated person, changes by time due to continuous bodily changes occurs in our body.
\nIn Bhagavad Gita, it is written, BG2.13,
\n\u201cDehino asmin yatha dehe, kaumaram yauvanam jara,
\ntatha dehantar praptir, dhiras tatra na muhyati\u201d
\nThis sloka says our body changes from childhood to youth and from youth to old age, but the living entity, who doesn\u2019t bewilder by this changes, is a sober person.
\nOnly in the human species of life, a living entity can enquire (Athatho Brahm Jigyasa), who is he \/ she? And by reading Bhagawad Gita, under the supervision of an authentic Guru, he comes to know that he is a soul or his real spiritual identity.
\nIn this material world, everybody is searching for his identity or is continuously changing his identity. Someone at good material position wants to keep his material identity and somebody, who is not at very good position, wants to change his identity.
\nGovernment of many countries wants to give identity to their citizens based on their demographic or biometric data. Govt. also tries to keep their citizens material identities fixed for many reasons, like security, giving financial benefits or subsidies to them, taxation, identifying them among millions and many other reasons.
\nIn USA, the Govt. provides SSN (Social Security Number) to their citizens. The primary purpose is to track individuals for social security purposes. In order to keep the identity of a person intact many technologies are used.
\nIn India, the Govt. gives UID (Unique Identity) to their citizens. The primary purpose is to capture the unique biometric and demographic data of an individual in such a way that its permutation and combinations makes the person unique. During biometric capture, the citizens Iris and finger prints are captures, which the current science says, these biometric captures are unique.
\nBut since, BG 2.13 says, our body changes from time to time, from youth age to adult age to old age, so these portion of bodies also changes. Hence subconsciously, UID has provisions to update the biometric data of a person at 5 years, at 15 years and at later ages. This procedure proves the BG 2.13 sloka.
\nThrough material identity in this world, we may get some benefits from Govt., from some organizations, from our family for some time. Even the technology stops identifying us after some time hence we have to update our unique identity from time to time.
\nBut the SID (our Spiritual Identity) is always fixed, irrespective of time, because the time doesn\u2019t affect our spiritual identity. Bhagavad Gita says, we are soul and part and parcel of Krishna. A soul does not change or cannot be destroyed. Our main service is to serve Krishna. When we are situated in our real constitutional position or when we identify ourselves as a soul than we get the real answer of an important question, \u201cWho Am I\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
