\nAndr\u00e9 Brown: Last night Radhanath Swami gave an amazing talk about Yamunacharya & Rama Mishra. He quoted a lot of verses, but this one in particular stuck out to me:
\nprem\u0101\u00f1jana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena
\nsanta\u1e25 sadaiva h\u1e5bdaye\u1e63u vilokayanti
\nya\u1e41 \u015by\u0101masundaram acintya-gu\u1e47a-svar\u016bpa\u1e41
\ngovindam \u0101di-puru\u1e63a\u1e41 tam aha\u1e41 bhaj\u0101mi
\n\u201cI worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is \u015ay\u0101masundara, K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a Himself with inconceivable innumerable attributes, whom the pure devotees see in their heart of hearts with the eye of devotion tinged with the salve of love.\u201d
\n~ Brahma Samhita, 5.38
\nIn relationship to this verse, he said:
\n\u201cThe Lord only reveals Himself, you can\u2019t just see Him with your eyes. You can only perceive the Lord through Love.
\nNo one in this entire planet sees anything exactly the same. When a mother sees her little baby what does she see? If her neighbor sees that same baby they will see something else. The general people see that same baby in another way. When a baby cries in a class everyone, especially the speaker, sees that baby in another way (lol).
\nNo one sees a flower with the same eyes. If they are a scientist they\u2019ll think of the botanical latin name of the flower & from which place that flower originated. If someone is in love with a young lady or old lady whatever it maybe (lol), they\u2019ll see the flower & say, \u2018Oh how wonderful will this flower look in the hair of my beloved\u2019. An artist will think & see the flower with all of its very tender details, & myself I have hayfever so whenever I see the flower I say \u2018oh it\u2019s gonna make me sneeze\u2019 (lol).
\nSo everyone is seeing the same flower with a different eye. And that\u2019s true for everything because THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING THROUGH THE FILTER OF OUR STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS. When we see through the lense of Love, when our heart is pure & clean, when that love awakens in our heart, we see everything in the spirit of \u2018how can I reciprocate with the beauty & the sweetness of God\u2019s Love?\u2019
\nThat becomes our beautiful world & everything + everyone in the world. This Mantra, the beautiful Holy Names of the Lord, awakens that Love.\u201d
\nSuch a lovely meditation & reminder that REAL VISION & REAL CHANGE happens on the level of consciousness. Bhakti Yoga aka Krishna Consciousness is truly amazing!!! So glad to be on this Bhakti Path in the association of so many lovely Vaishnavas!!! Radhe Radhe!
