We are “cheta” or consciousness–
\nmarginal energy of Krishna,
\nwhich means we are a
\nproduct of our association.<\/p>\n
We have freedom to choose how
\nto be influenced–who to cooperate with,
\nbut the choice to be in matter
\nrestricts and hides our nature.<\/p>\n
We rebellious souls
\nin a virtual world of make
\nbelieve, born repeatedly
\ninto the smog of ignorance.<\/p>\n
The ego makes us think we
\nare the center, but that is selfishness,
\nand selfishness contracts us,
\nwhereas giving expands us (revealing our soul).<\/p>\n
Our sense of self is threatened
\nby perceived non-existence so
\nwe think to add to our life will help,
\nignorant that our pure self is enough.<\/p>\n
Forgetting our self and Krishna
\nwe look for happiness, freedom, fulfillment
\nin matter, not knowing matter is meant
\nfor limitations, doubts, enmity, heartbreak.<\/p>\n
Today I thought of this fact
\nobserving a father with his two
\nsmall daughters, as the main word
\nhe uttered, and not kindly, was “NO!”<\/p>\n
He was disturbed by their natural
\ncuriosity and openhearted exploring,
\nwanting to control them and make
\nthem behave, causing them to rebel.<\/p>\n
This always saddens me, as
\nI was brought up in that way,
\nand it has taken me so long
\nto recover and open my heart.<\/p>\n
We are like those children
\nwith the desire for freedom
\nand happiness, but hearing
\n“NO” at every turn, but still trying.<\/p>\n
An intelligent person
\nquestions why there are “NOs”(restrictions)
\nwhen our desire is to be expansive,
\nloving perfectly and forever.<\/p>\n
Animals are forced to act
\naccording to their instincts,
\nyet humans want to go beyond
\nphysical restrictions and fly.<\/p>\n
Human life is the beginning
\nof self awareness, like being on parole
\nwith the chance to realize our
\nfull potential of love and freedom.<\/p>\n
Success will come in
\nrealizing our true spiritual life,
\nthrough the holy name of Krishna
\nand “sadhu sanga” (holy company).<\/p>\n
Finding a “home knowing” person
\nwe learn the “home going” method,
\nhearing words that hit the home
\nof our heart, encouraging us to go forward.<\/p>\n
Like orphans reunited with
\ntheir true loving family
\nwe realize the complete
