Srila Sukadeva Goswami speaks in Srimad Bhagavatam 12.13.13, \u201cIf on the full moon day of the month of Bh\u0101dra one places \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

To spread the brilliant moonlight of this auspicious benediction to people all over the world, the global GoMatsya Initiative has devised the Bhadra Campaign, a global effort to increase widespread distribution of Srimad Bhagavatam through donation on the occasion of Bhadra Purnima, which falls on 25 September 2018.<\/p>\n

Led by dedicated disciples of Srila Prabhupada such as HG Vaisesika Prabhu, HG Bhima Prabhu, and HG Satyanarayana Prabhu, this Campaign is aimed at fulfilling Srila Prabhupada\u2019s desire, which he voiced in a letter he wrote in Bhubaneswar, 24 January 1977 \u2013 \u201cI want that every respectable person has a full set of Bhagavatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Earlier this year, temples across the world began participating in this campaign by taking donation pledges from their congregations. For instance, HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja took 100 pledges for this campaign in just one day at ISKCON Toronto! You can donate sets to relatives, family members, friends, neighbours, influential people, or place them in libraries in schools, colleges, prisons, hospitals, towns and villages. The actual donation will happen on the Bhadra Purnima local date, leading up to which many temples are organizing special programs to glorify the Srimad Bhagavatam and Srila Prabhupada, the global ambassador of Srimad Bhagavtam.<\/p>\n

Led by HG Bhima Prabhu, BBT India, a team of devotees are facilitating the Bhadra Campaign, providing collaterals such as banners, posters, and pledge cards; they are also willing to travel and offer training to devotees on \u201cHow to Distribute the Srimad Bhagavatam\u201d. The Campaign is endorsed through videos and letters of support by several leading ISKCON preachers such as HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja, HH Radhanath Swami Maharaja, HH Lokanath Swami Maharaja and HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. Local leaders in India, such as HG Radheshyam Prabhu, HG Gauranga Prabhu, HG Acarya Ratna Prabhu and others are already onboard this campaign.<\/p>\n

Temples around the world have set local goals for the campain. Team North America has set a goal of 400 sets. India temples together have set a goal of around 3000 sets, with ISKCON Mayapur having the lion\u2019s share of the goal – 1418 sets! More than 25 temples across India are onboard the campaign. ISKCON Chowpatty is conducting a Maha Bhagawad Yagna on the lines of the Gita Yagna done for Gita Jayanti. ISKCON temples in New Delhi together set a goal of more than 150 sets. ISKCON Juhu is arranging a special lecture series by HH Bhakti Rasamrita Swami to increase appreciation for the Srimad Bhagavatam and encourage everyone to give or receive sets.<\/p>\n

This collaborative global momentum is surely and steadily thwarting the progress of the Age of Kali by distributing Srimad Bhagavtam, the literary incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna!
