The devotees were living in tents and Hansadutta refused to sleep with her in their tent. All the other couples were sleeping together in their own tents. So she snuck into Srila Prabhupada\u2019s room and slept in his closet.<br \/>\nThe next morning she got up and snuck out. She said that day Prabhupada called her into his quarters. He said, \u201cHimavati, you cannot sleep in my closet. This will cause rumors. People will think I am having young girls in my room.\u201d He said, \u201cThis is not right. Why are you doing this? Don\u2019t you have a tent to stay in?\u201d<br \/>\nShe said, \u201cYes, but everyone is sleeping with their husbands in their tents and Hansadutta won\u2019t stay with me.\u201d Srila Prabhupada said, \u201cOkay, I am going to have a meeting with everyone.\u201d<br \/>\nHe called everybody together and announced, \u201cNow you are all going to take sannyas.\u201d She said the look on all of their faces was, \u201cWhat?!\u201d<br \/>\nThen he said, \u201cSannyasis, you sleep separately from your wives.
