Eyes closed
\nconcentration inward,
\ndown and around
\nthe spiral staircase
\nto the depths
\nof my soul
\nto find
\nmy inspiration source.<\/p>\n
It is as far
\nas I can go
\nthrough the
\ncoverings of matter,
\nearth, water,
\nfire, air, either–
\nsubtle mind
\nand intellect,
\nthen the false ego:
\nI, me, mine.<\/p>\n
The soul sits
\non the
\nlife air
\nin the heart,
\nasleep to
\nher real nature,
\npotential and
\nroot desires,
\nembarking on
\nan un-merry-go-round.<\/p>\n
I know–
\nfrom being
\nout of my body,
\nand from
\nVedic knowledge
\nmy eternal
\nsouls reality, and
\nher primary
\nneed to
\nlove the Divine.<\/p>\n
I understand
\nthe importance of
\nof being balanced,
\nwhile working
\naccording to
\nphysical necessities,
\nwith the
\nultimate aim
\nof making progress
\nuncovering
\nour real,
\nsoul satisfaction.<\/p>\n
The search
\nfor happiness
\navoiding distress
\nrules us,
\ntrue blessings
\nare neither,
\nonly waking
\nfrom the dream
\nwill satisfy
\ndesires for bliss.<\/p>\n
So I sit
\nand go inward
\ncatching the
\nflame of inspiration,
\nand wanting
\nto share it
\nwith those
\nwho come thirsty
\nto understand
\nbeyond the superficial.<\/p>\n
My prayer
\nis that my
\nDivine Muse,
\nwill inspire
\nand empower me
\nwith spiritual potency
\nto affect
\na change
\nand awakening
\nin you–
\ndear sleeping soul.<\/p>\n
I speak
\nnot in pride,
\nbut as a brother
\nnot free myself,
\nyet who sees
\nthe glimmer
\nof light,
\nsomething more,
\nwhich calls me
\nand every soul
\nback to our
\nSource–Shri Krishna.<\/p>\n
So drink
\nmy offerings
\ngiven with love,
\nand be open
\nto be carried
\naway to
\nthe homeland
\nof the heart,
\nand let our
\nsouls dance together
\nto our eternal
\nsong (Krishna nam)
\nand the
