\nPeople are like kids \u2013 they love fairy tales. And fairy tales can be different \u2013 there is the Big Bang one, the Evolution one, the one about stepping on the Moon, the one about Big Love, Capitalism, Communism, Liberalism and so many other things. But when you tell them that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is called Krishna, that we are part and parcel of Him and our purpose is to serve Him, most people begin to stubbornly oppose it just like little children, arguing that this is not true because there is no evidence. While the evidence is all around us.
\nThe true, wonderful stories are presented by Srila Prabhupada in his books. They describe the sweet pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna and His devotees. And these stories are not only filled with all the nuances of human relationships \u2013 love, adventure, heroism, friendship, humor, sorrow of separation, they also bestow transcendental satisfaction to the soul. These stories cure our stone-like materialistic hearts and give us the opportunity to get a glimpse of true happiness.
\nAnd now, during the Christmas holidays, everyone is rushing to buy gifts to please their relatives. Everywhere there are talks of charity and money is collected for the needy. But people do not know what true charity is and how to really help the needy. Human relationships are based on the physical concept of life, that is why people do not have genuine, deep relationships; their relationships often bring more pain than pleasure.
\nDevotees are the only ones know what real good is. Dissemination of the transcendental knowledge of Krishna in the form of Srila Prabhupada\u2019s books is the highest form of charity and compassion. And the best gift for the holidays, too. Prabhupada Marathon 2018 ki jaya!
