\npoverty, starvation, new epidemics
\nmany diseases, types of slow deaths.<\/p>\n
Amidst mundane chaos, scarcity
\nlives appeared hopeless
\na portal of light, a road of redemption
\nthe mercy of Gaura Nitai!<\/p>\n
These two Lords came
\ninspiring a magical, miraculous view
\nfrom what seems mundane
\nor ordinary–our everyday life.<\/p>\n
A challenging query made:
\nDo you perform miracles?
\nYes, Prabhupada replied
\npointing to his disciples!<\/p>\n
This statement a clue:
\nthose touched by Bhakti’s grace
\nmust avoid complacency, boredom
\nby forgetting the wonder of Krishna.<\/p>\n
Excitement present in newness
\nwhat seemed extraordinary appears common
\nmaterial life again attracts us
\nas our spiritual necessity is covered.<\/p>\n
Avoid such misfortune
\nby constant spiritual reflection
\ngratitude, appreciation, and wonder
\nseeing Krishna behind everything.<\/p>\n
Go to the most basic–
\nthat we exist and are conscious
\nis amazing, we are part of Krishna
\nthe life of our very life–and everyone!<\/p>\n
Bodily construction and functioning
\nis miraculous, what to speak of our soul;
\ndo you see, hear, feel, think and move?
\nothers cannot, we are blessed by the best!<\/p>\n
You are still alive in spite of
\nmany chances for your death,
\nand there is no death actually
\nknowing this is such mercy!<\/p>\n
Thinking yourself a body–
\na frightful life waiting for the end
\nstruggling for existence to fill the void
\nwith stuff and fleeting relationships.<\/p>\n
Material life is pessimistic
\nspiritual life a great pleasure
\neven if your standing is theoretical
\nbegin from where you are.<\/p>\n
Build your life on faith
\npositive expectancy
\nalways look for the miraculous
\nbehind even everyday occurrences.<\/p>\n
Then there is Krishna’s Deities
\nthe holy name, and Bhakti scriptures
\nPrabhupada, the saints and gurus–
\nall these persons are miraculous blessings.<\/p>\n
For devotees everything is miraculous
\nyet we have to cultivate the vision
\ncounteracting material negativity
