Recently she has succumbed to pancreatic cancer and will be returning to the spiritual world very soon. I wanted to post some information in case there are devotees who would like to visit her or pay their respects in some way. She is currently at the Hospice center on 39th Street in Gainesville FL in room 16.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Many devotees are coming to see her and also chant. Mahatma das was there yesterday. Some devotees are coming that she doesn&#8217;t even know.\u00a0 There is an outpouring of love and care for her.\u00a0 Hrdayananda Maharaja has visited her several times and came again yesterday (4-15-09).\u00a0 He was beaming and in a very good mood.\u00a0Telling her how she had won!\u00a0This is glorious.\u00a0She has lived her life perfectly and now she is unwrapping the gift.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When he first entered, he lifted the mood with his funny nature, saying something like, &#8220;Shyama Priya, you are an astronaut.&#8221;\u00a0 And then he went on to say how first you traveled here and now you are traveling to Krishna, etc.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Balavanta Prabhu came with his wife Balavi.\u00a0They were so sweet and loving.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Syamapriya was given a golden bracelet from Srimate Radharani and is now wearing that.\u00a0 She comes in and out and remembers some conversations, and then forgets them.\u00a0 She has this thing with tilaka.\u00a0Whenever someone comes in (if she sees them), she notices if they have tilaka on.\u00a0If they don&#8217;t she makes them put it on.\u00a0Balavanta had to put it on a couple of times, she kept saying she didn&#8217;t see it.\u00a0 They wanted to give her morphine as she is starting to have a lot more pain.\u00a0 She said, &#8220;no intoxication&#8221;.\u00a0 I think she is getting a little bit now though.\u00a0Yesterday she said, &#8220;today I think I might leave my body&#8221;. Nimai asked if she thought she was Bhisma.\u00a0 She said, &#8220;well this is no bed of arrows.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Syamapriya&#8217;s daughter, Amrta, said goodbye to her when she was taken to the hospice center.\u00a0 It was too hard for Amrita, who is 13 years old, to watch her mom&#8217;s decline. Arrangements have been made for her to will live with her devotee step sister in Arizona.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shyama Priya forgot she had said good bye and was asking for her daughter.\u00a0 Balavanta was there at the time and began to say how he left Srila Prabhupada two weeks before he left his body because it was too painful for him, and how it was likely too painful for her daughter to see someone she loves so much in this condition &#8211; and she is a just a kid and wants to remember her as a strong mother.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/12345.jpg\" alt=\"Hare Krishna\"\/><strong>By Yasodamayi Devi Dasi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Syamapriya&#8217;s daughter, Amrta, said goodbye to her when she was taken to the hospice center.
