Goenka Chairman of Welspun group and Sri Ashok Goel Chairman of Essel group along with Sri Devakinandan Dasa, visited the world headquartes of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness on Sunday 17th Feb, Mayapur Nadia, regarding the proposed plan of ISKCON to set up the Sri Chaitanya Cultural World Heritage Centre  (SCCWHC).<\/p>\n<p>Spread over 700 acre ISKCON has decided to set up a 3000 crore  World Heritage centre at Mayapur, Nadia, the birth place of Sri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu and the spiritual headquarter of the institution. The construction of an 800 crore grand temple, Temple of Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) is the first step towards it. The temple is expected to be inaugurated in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday morning , the illustious group arrived at Mayapur by helicopter. They were warmly greeted and welcomed as per  the  Vedic traditions by senior leadrers of ISKCON Sri Dayaram Dasa, Sri Hrday Caitanya Dasa and other ISKCON leaders. After having darshan  and offering arati at the Chandradaya temple the group travelled the entire landscape where ISKCON  has planned to set up the Heritage centre.  Post this Sri Madhava Gauranga Das  Vice Chairman of ISKCON Mayapur took them to see the Gurukula where  where they were  treated  with sumptuous lunch Prasadam prepared by the students of the Gurukula. The honoured guests expressed great appreciation for the beauty of the gurukula.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit to ISKCON, Mayapur the group also met Mr Alfred Ford, disciple of the founder Acharya of ISKCON His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who reached  from America to participate in the upcoming Gaur Purnima festivities at Mayapur. Mr Ford better known as Ambrish Das in the devotee fraternity exchanged pleasantries with the visiting group of industrialists. They discussed at length the details of World Heritage centre.<\/p>\n<p>Later the top management of ISKCON shared the Masterplan of the Heritage centre with Sri Sajjan Jindal, Sri B K Goenka, Sri Ashok Goel, Sri Devakinandan das and others. The masterplan was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation. Sri Devakinandan Das has been meeting these illustrious leaders of Indian industry over many years and had with great fervour convinced them to visit ISKCON Mayapur. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee on her visit to ISKCON headquarter here on February 12, 2018 had promised the ISKCON devotees, led by Alfred Ford ( Ambrish Das), to render all support in setting up of the World Heritage Centre at Mayapur.    Almost after a year in January last, a recently held administrative meeting at Krishnagar in Nadia district, she had shown her interest by  inquiring  about its progress. Due to this the government machinery  is all charged up to render all support to ISKCON and the work has accelerated.     \n\n\"The core of ISKCON's philosophy is to spread the teachings and values of Sri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu  and by constructing Temple of Vedic Planetarium (TOVP),  a construction and technical masterpiece  and further setting up of World Heritage centre  at Mayapur, we  plan to attract the people of the entire world,\" said Alay Govind Das, head of ISKCON Mayapur Land Department.   \"ISKCON is present in more than 125 countries and has close to 850 centres across the world  and people from these countries  wish  to visit Mayapur and stay for a while . However, currently we are not able to provide them adequate facilities. In the Heritage centre there will be exclusive arrangements made forthem,\" he said   The Heritage Centre will come up over  700 acres of land in and around Mayapur.  ISKCON plans to develop the  almost all the spiritually potent places in entire of Nabadwip Dham, consisting of 9 islands that are associated with the pastimes of Sri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu.\n\n  This will help devotees to conduct Parikrama of the holy Dham  all round the year.    The Heritage centre will have spiritual embassies of 45 countries that will reflect their specific  culture, dress, lifestyle, food, houses. Complete ambience of a particular country will be artificially created. Further each embassy  will showcase the practice of Krishna Consciousness in their specific country and important temples in their country.   \n\n The devotees  will perform the Sankirtan inside these embassies as they have doing in their respective nations.    The goal is to design it in a way that if any one steps into an embassy of a particular country he should feel that he is transported to the that country.   \n\n Also there will be 200 beded super-speciality  hospital to take care of the medical needs of the people.     \"We will develop state of art  kitchens  so that we  will distribute more than 1 lakh plates of Prasadam daily,\" the media spokesperson said.    The ancient Vedic lifestyle of cow care, performing yagnas, and cultivating land for farming will be practiced.    \n\nThe construction of  TOVP which is expected to inaugrated in  2022 is the first step towards setting up of World Heritage Centre.     There will 4 amusement theme based parks which will use the latest technology to bring alive the pastimes of Krishna in Vrindavan and MahaPrabhu in Mayapur.    Further the Centre will boast of traditional bengali handloom and craft centres which will showcase the work of the artisans and glorify the heritage of Bengal.  The artisans and craftsmen will get the opportunity to present their skill to lakhs of people from the world.    In this Hertiage Centre we aim to accommodate more than a lakh devotees from different countries  who practice Krishna Consciousness and  live peacefully  together.
