By offering sacrifices, he began to worship Lord V\u0101sudeva, who is the all-pervading Supersoul of all the demigods and of every living entity.  After completing the sacrifice, Lord Para\u015bur\u0101ma gave the eastern direction to the hot\u0101 as a gift, the south to the brahm\u0101, the west to the adhvaryu, the north to the udg\u0101t\u0101, and the four corners \u2014 northeast, southeast, northwest and southwest \u2014 to the other priests. He gave the middle to Ka\u015byapa and the place known as \u0100ry\u0101varta to the upadra\u1e63\u1e6d\u0101. Whatever remained he distributed among the sadasyas, the associate priests. Thereafter, having completed the ritualistic sacrificial ceremonies, Lord Para\u015bur\u0101ma took the bath known as the avabh\u1e5btha-sn\u0101na.
