TAKA JAKA JEST!
On May 27, Nandini Devi Dasi, manager of Viva Kultura, the organization that runs Indradyumna Maharaja’s summer tours and festival programs, ordered 3000 hardbound, full size, Polish Bhagavad-Gitas. The problem: the books had to arrive in Poland on June 20th. This gave the BBT less than a month to produce, print, bind and ship this title. We just could not say no because it is such a wonderful opportunity to distribute the Bhagavad-Gita As It Is to so many festival goers. The translation was more or less ready, but the book had always been printed from film. The challenge for our pre press team and Guru-Kripa Prabhu, the polish editor and proofreader, was to make the book print ready within 12 days, an almost impossible task. Everyone worked hard, practically around the clock, including the printer in Germany, and made this wonderful book appear in time for the summer tour.

The book turned out absolutely fantastic. We offered it to Srila Prabhupada this morning.

Even Lakshmi Priya from BLS ordered 200 copies.

A big thank to everybody who made this edition of the Bhagavad-Gita come true – it’s by far the fastest production of a Bhagavad-Gita this BBT has ever done.

It is printed on very good wood free, natural shade paper. FSC-certified from renewable sources and bound with ultra-stable, highly flexible, water-based glue. This book will look as good in 50 or a 100 years as it looks today.

The NE BBT publishes all its mass distribution titles as print/e-book combos. This Polish Bhagavad-Gita As It Is is no exception. Whoever purchases the book as a hard copy gets a download code inside the book with which he or she can download the same title as an e-book, in any e-book flavor. Such a bonus, and a perfect way to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s content!

The story of the Polish Gita!
