Summer marathon of book distribution in Birmingham, UK, with 60 devotees (Album of photos)
\nGeeta Bhandari: Day 2 of the Summer Marathon. Our Monthly Sankirtan Festival in Birmingham was pretty far out to say the least with approximately 60 devotees participating. We initially had a one and a half hour seminar presented by His Grace Vaisesika Prabhu at Birmingham temple. We then all split into groups and went out Door to Door as well as Street distribution in Birmingham City Centre.<\/p>\n

Today was forecast to be the hottest day of the year so far, and it certainly didn\u2019t disappoint, this only served to enhance everyone\u2019s high spirits.<\/p>\n

HG Vaisesika Prabhu had approx 20 devotees shadowing him as we knocked on each door. His effulgence, humility and kindness won people\u2019s heart and we learned so much from him.<\/p>\n

In Birmingham City Centre people were turning heads and Doordarshan News were so inspired to see the Hare Krishna\u2019s singing kirtan and distributing books that they interviewed them live. People came down from Birmingham Library from five stories high as they could hear the kirtan from there and wanted to hear more and take Darshan of the transcendental souls.<\/p>\n

With hot weather in abundance, we were met with extra warm wishes and welcoming souls. It\u2019s fair to say that today\u2019s weather brought about a thirst for fluids, and our MSF brought about a thirst for knowledge!
