Hare Krishna vegetarian restaurant plots menu change after outpouring of love for their kofta balls!<\/p>\n

Couriermail.com, Jasmin Lill, City North News, August 1, 2019: A Hare Krishna vegetarian restaurant has admitted they might have to add kofta balls to their Uber Eats menu after an order from a persistent fan this week.<\/p>\n

Govinda\u2019s on George St received the order yesterday for a \u2018feast meal\u2019 – which comes with koftas – with an unusual side note.<\/p>\n

\u201cCould I please have extra koftas instead of dessert please :) thank you!\u201d customer Georgina wrote.<\/p>\n

She also ordered a serve of samosa and chutney – and another special request.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of the samosas, can I please have koftas! Thank you! Koftas are the best :-)\u201d<\/p>\n

The restaurant posted the order online, and it seems the woman isn\u2019t alone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve all been there,\u201d one customer wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cBest. Koftas. Ever,\u201d another said.<\/p>\n

Govinda\u2019s manager Vraj Dharma said he hadn\u2019t seen an Uber Eats order like it before, but the request was food for thought.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe response has been interesting. A lot of people have been chiming in and expressing their love for kofta,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ve offered them on the Uber Eats menu as a separate item. You get koftas with the feast meal, but not as a separate side dish. We might have to start offering it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Dharma said koftas are three for $2 in-store, but perhaps a larger kofta pack could be added to the Uber Eats menu.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it makes sense,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Prior to managing Govinda\u2019s, Mr Dharma traveled the east coast with the Hare Krishna food stall serving festival-goers from Tasmania to Cairns.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery weekend we\u2019d be somewhere different, so we\u2019d have Govinda\u2019s food at these places, and koftas were always very, very popular,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
