The Role:<\/p>\n
Inspire a vibrant temple, with its communities, congregation, worshipers, guests and visitors, in devotional culture as taught by Srila Prabhupada.
\nEnsure that the charity\u2019s objects as set out in its constitution are strictly followed, and that the charity\u2019s resources are used to further its charitable aims.
\nRepresent the temple and ISKCON in general, as a figurehead at functions, internal and external, as deemed appropriate.
\nLead by exemplary Krishna consciousness and the related morality.
\nEnsure a culture of care is prominent.
\nEngage the Managing Director to assist in achieving the stated objectives.
\nEstablish and uphold the spirit and ideals of the Vision 2020 document. <\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Chanting Hare Krishna mantra 16 rounds a day.
\nFollowing four regulative principles of ISKCON.
\nAttend morning programs (minimal 4 per week).
\nAttend all festivals and major events, focusing on the devotional content, character and teachings, and the care of volunteers and participants.
\nChair the temple council meetings, and other meetings as deemed appropriate.
\nInspire, maintain and establish devotional standards.
\nSupport the development of policies to sustain and protect the devotional culture.
\nEnsure the recognized standards of deity worship are catalogued and maintained. This includes the main altar, temple room, and Srila Prabhupada rooms.
\nAttend to the spiritual needs and behaviour of all staff, employees, residents, community and congregation.
\nEnsure the temple remains and prospers as a center of excellence for Vaisnava education.
\nEnsure that a functional and effective mentorship system thrives. And that all those bearing responsibilities are appropriately trained and appraised.
\nConsolidate and maintain all ceremonious functions, including diksa, according to authorized standards.
\nOrganize and expand community and congregation, through periodic functions, gatherings such as sangas, istagosthis and prominent events.
\nPromote a culture of respect that exists amongst diverse participants, departments and communities.
\nEnsure the highest standard of care for temple dependents, in health and spirituality, and ultimately that lifelong provision is available to residents and lifelong residents respectively.
\nOffer spiritual counsel as appropriate. <\/p>\n
