\nTOVPE 3D Generalist<\/p>\n
TOVPE 3D Generalists are responsible for creating photo-real characters, vehicles, environment scenes, and landscapes that integrate seamlessly with plate photography or any medium needed. Successful candidates display a high proficiency in some and a varied skill level across the areas of modeling, texturing, shading, look development, organic and hard surface modeling, animation and the ability to composite their own work. Candidates that demonstrate themselves to be exceptional in only one area will still be considered as long as they have some experience in all other areas and are willing to learn.<\/p>\n
TOVPE 3D Generalists will work both individually and within a larger team environment, with tasks ranging from completing everything on a small number of shots to working on specific tasks within a larger body of work. <\/p>\n
Senior TOVPE 3D Generalists will also demonstrate the ability to break down complex VFX shot work into achievable workflows using a variety of off-the-shelf plug-ins and scripts. As such, a strong technical background is necessary.<\/p>\n
Education \/ Experience<\/p>\n
Degree and\/or 5 years of relevant experience in a VFX environment either in commercials, videogames, TV or feature film.<\/p>\n
Required Skills \/ Duties + Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Proven artistic ability across multiple CG disciplines including modeling, texturing, lighting, shading \/ look development, or compositing.<\/p>\n
Strong communicator that requires minimal guidance in the execution of VFX Tasks.<\/p>\n
Lead creation of outstanding artwork within a shot, using various software programs.<\/p>\n
Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work<\/p>\n
May train, mentor or supervise the work of entry, mid and mid-high-level generalist artists at the discretion of the Department Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Attend weekly meetings and participate in creative problem solving<\/p>\n
Technical Skills<\/p>\n
Fluent in Photoshop
\nFluent in Cinema 4D, 3dsmax, or Maya
\nFluent in Redshift, or Octane render solutions
\nFluent in Zbrush
\nKnowledge of Substance Painter, Designer, and Alchemist a plus
\nKnowledge of scripting a plus<\/p>\n

\nTOVPE Screen Writer<\/p>\n
TOVPE Screen Writers are responsible for the creation of original movie screen plays for use in the 23-meter dome theater housed inside the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium. TOVPE Screen Writers are also responsible for narrative content for exhibits within the Planetarium, which include scripts, dialogue and ancillary thematic content for advertising. <\/p>\n
Education \/ Experience<\/p>\n
BA or comparable degree.
\nAt least three professional writing credits. This may include a purchased screenplay, or published book or article.
\n4+ years of relevant work experience.
\nExperience writing screenplays or teleplays.
\nYou should be able to write and think cinematically.<\/p>\n
Required Skills \/ Duties + Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Develop and research ideas for original movie screenplays, and exhibits.
\nCreate an initial framework, or treatment, for screenplays.
\nWrite or adapt a story into a script.
\nMeet with creative team to pitch screenplays and ideas.
\nWeave together visual elements in scenes with plot and dialogue.
\nWork with creative staff to edit and adjust the script as needed.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills<\/p>\n
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Final Draft, Scrivener, or comparable writing software platform.
\nPluses:
\nBA or higher degree in humanities, film, journalism, or creative writing.
\nKnowledge about, and experience in, screenwriting for movies, and museum exhibits
\nExperience as an educator, leader, or manager. Anything that evinces strong interpersonal skills.
\nExperience working with artists from other disciplines.
\nProficiency in Adobe Editing Suite is a major plus.<\/p>\n
