\nSrila Prabhupada: Yes. It is for the devotee. A devotee can eat, as Caitanya Mahaprabhu was eating. Govinda, His servant, complained, \u201cSir, so many things are lying here, and everyone asks, \u2018Whether Caitanya Mahaprabhu has taken my preparation?\u2019 ‘Oh, yes, He has taken.\u2019 So I have to speak so many lies. You don\u2019t take. What can I do?\u201d He said, \u201cAll right, bring it. Bring it.\u201d So He began to eat for one hundred men\u2019s foodstuff stocked. He finished. Then He asked, \u201cAny more?\u201d So now only the bags are there. Everything finished. [laughs] So He ate everything, one after another, one after another, one after another. \u201cAll right. Bring, bring, bring.\u201d So He can eat. We cannot.<\/p>\n
