Help us Fix the Roof in New Mayapur!
\nThis is a humble request on behalf of New Mayapur community.<\/p>\n

New Mayapur\u2019s Chateau, the main building which houses the Deities and Srila Prabhupada\u2019 s rooms, is in urgent need of repair. The Chapel, a small church attached to the main building, is in a critical condition. The stone guttering and the walls are broken and water is leaking in. The walls, being damaged, are becoming waterlogged and the ceiling within is crumbling.<\/p>\n

If this is not dealt with urgently it is a matter of time before the roof collapses. The situation was not noticeable a couple of months ago but now it is deteriorating rapidly.<\/p>\n

New Mayapur, in France, is the only ISKCON property in Europe where Srila Prabhupada personally visited (outside UK), stayed and installed the Deities of Krsna Balarama.<\/p>\n

We, a small group of devotees trying to manage this large project, are appealing to you to kindly help. We have in our community a devotee who is a professional mason and works also on roofs. He has estimated that the urgent work will cost around \u20ac35,000. It would cover fixing the guttering around the Chapel, the damaged stones and the inner ceiling.<\/p>\n

We thus request you to please consider our request for funding to help preserve Srila Prabhupada\u2019s very dear temple.<\/p>\n

H.H. Janananda Goswami is personally involved in raising funds for this effort. We have also received a few pledges from other Srila Prabhupada\u2019s disciples and enthusiastic second and third generation devotees who are making a great effort to inform their friends and communities to help NM in this hour of need.<\/p>\n

Our GBC\u2019S Hridaya Caitanya Prabhu and Madhusevita Prabhu are aware of the situation and are beckoning you for your support.<\/p>\n
