Domestication and Capitulation?<\/p>\n

HH Bhaktisiddhanta Swami: When I first became a devotee as a young brahmacari it was like being part of a revolution, guided by Srila Prahupada\u2019s call in distribution and heart transformation.<\/p>\n

In the Mahabharata, we have observed how the Pandavas faced a Kaurava army; for our ratio analysis if we compared the Israelian Army against those of the world. Here the Pandavas faced the greatest of odds against the Kauravas(who had Krsna\u2019s Narayana Kavaca Army), but of course Krsna sided with the Pandavas\u2026then the case was closed.<\/p>\n

But this underdog formula against a larger opposition has always intrigued me, thus paving the way for my personal attempt in book distribution and communication efforts in the field.<\/p>\n

Sri Chaitanya\u2019s sankirtan civil disobedience movement, violating the orders of the ruling Chand Kazi, was another example of going against the illusory odds. A ruling class, trumpeting illusory concerns, was defeated.<\/p>\n

In the present times, we have a similar situation where a \u2018collective\u2019 enforces a paradigm of control; a few with vested interests over the masses; history repeats itself again.<\/p>\n

Bhagavad-gita offers us a choice and opportunity to link with the Supreme. Regarding our present-day battlefield, we can walk on a path of domestication (believing what we are told) or choose transcendence (our minds protected by our examples in parampara and the Lord\u2019s lilas etc.), complimented by a parallel awareness of the present battlefield surrounds. That is important because most of us are within the communication fields where people require guidance. Our job with a \u2018make sense\u2019 street level awareness is to connect\/introduce those in need to the spiritual.<\/p>\n

Previous samskaras and conditioning may place us within the quicksand of capitulation, if we succumb to imperfect cooperatives, then how can we truly direct others? Whatever spiritual path we may be on, have we become docile or complacent amidst a great given wealth? Again, reflect upon the histories outlined above.<\/p>\n

The scriptures prescribe an upcoming Golden Age where spirituality will abound and perhaps a 2 years cleanse is at hand. Srila Prabhupada\u2019s genius with regard to distribution, as in moving water, clarity will come, then we can truly give to others and play a part in that future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
