All glories to Srila Prabhupada.<\/p>\n<p>The month of June had some interesting highlights. Bhaktin Radhika of the temple in Juhu (Mumbai) did 44,560 book points, distributing 20,000 Bhagavad-gitas and 9,120 medium books. Very impressive. She is expert at going to companies and getting them to take or sponsor huge amounts of books. What&#8217;s amazing is that among the top 50 book distributors in the world, she is the only woman. Now she has taken the number-one position for the month and is also number one for the cumulative score in 2010 to date.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is the San Jose temple. They had more devotees going out on book distribution in June than they have ever had, 556 devotees! They did 10,632 book points, a 415% increase over the same month last year. What&#8217;s amazing is that none of the book distributors live in the temple: they&#8217;re all congregational devotees. I asked Vaisesika Prabhu, the temple president of the San Jose temple and the source of inspiration for all the devotees there, how they did so big. He said, &#8220;It&#8217;s the mercy of Bhaktivinoda Thakura; we were just meditating on his greatness.&#8221; What&#8217;s interesting is that Bhaktivinoda Thakura&#8217;s disappearance day wasn&#8217;t until July. So they were just getting warmed up for the actual marathon in remembrance of that great soul.<\/p>\n<p>These two stories show that if just one person is inspired to get the message of Krsna out to the people, wonderful things happen.
