By Bhurijana Das<\/strong><\/p>\n Searching for Solace<\/p>\n In Ujjain:<\/p>\n \u201cYou choose to paint<\/p>\n as the cover of the book<\/p>\n a picture of your heart,\u201d<\/p>\n I almost asked him to confess.<\/p>\n No words replied<\/p>\n he only sighed<\/p>\n a soft and thoughtful \u201cyes.\u201d <\/p>\n * * * *<\/p>\n A little boy<\/p>\n in short pants<\/p>\n is walked home by his father.<\/p>\n Side by side, closely<\/p>\n they walk.<\/p>\n His father, a golden, glowing saint,<\/p>\n holds tight his son\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n The boy glances up<\/p>\n and fears nothing<\/p>\n He is not alone<\/p>\n on the path home.<\/p>\n Yet the sun is setting<\/p>\n as it must.<\/p>\n The boy will cry<\/p>\n as he must.<\/p>\n But he will walk on<\/p>\n and will grow<\/p>\n into his father\u2019s grown-up son<\/p>\n But never alone<\/p>\n holding tight<\/p>\n that ever-outstretched hand.<\/p>\n And he did grow<\/p>\n and like his father also glowed<\/p>\n and loved his father\u2019s family, as did his father<\/p>\n And like his father<\/p>\n taught and shared and preached<\/p>\n showing culture and gentility,<\/p>\n and caring for<\/p>\n and serving all others with grace.<\/p>\n Time passed<\/p>\n His body slowly aged, as it must<\/p>\n but inside<\/p>\n he grew neither weary nor old<\/p>\n nor stuffy nor grumpy<\/p>\n nor angry nor cynical.<\/p>\n His eyes never narrowed<\/p>\n his eyelids never drooped<\/p>\n But rather<\/p>\n his dreams and heart expanded<\/p>\n to the stars above.<\/p>\n He remained always alive<\/p>\n with a simple, warm innocence<\/p>\n and childish glee.<\/p>\n Always his father\u2019s son<\/p>\n always holding tight his father\u2019s hand<\/p>\n never alone.<\/p>\n And now the sun has set again<\/p>\n as it must<\/p>\n at its ordained time,<\/p>\n and although the world cries,<\/p>\n dulls, dims, yet<\/p>\n a great son<\/p>\n of a great father–<\/p>\n inside always small–<\/p>\n but never alone,<\/p>\n hand in hand<\/p>\n with Prabhupada<\/p>\n has journeyed home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In Ujjain: \u201cYou choose to paint as the cover of the book a picture of your heart,\u201d I almost asked him to confess.
