Separation
\nThe sun is the primary factor sustaining life throughout the universe with its all-pervasive heat and light. Life cannot exist without the sun. The moon nourishes the vegetation on earth, and so also sustains life. Therefore as sustainers of life, how could these two planets not host life on their surfaces?
\nSimilarly the spiritual master, although not physically present, sustains the life of the faithful disciple, and thus the two are never separated. Their relationship is completely spiritual and not based on the condition of the material body.

\nGiving life to all the worlds controlling destiny,
\nexpansive rays of heat and light embrace infinity.
\nBlood and bones could not survive upon its scorching shell.
\nDoes this mean the blazing sun can be compared to hell?
\nIn the night the moon shines light to nourish land and fields,
\nfruits of the earth, the harvest blooms, abundantly it yields.
\nIs this source of sustenance merely made of dust,
\nflaunting as its surface a barren lifeless crust?
\nAs it is only foolishness to think that no one lives,
\nupon the sun the source of life who generously gives.
\nOr on the moon whose nectar bathes us all and we survive,
\nwe are never disconnected, your words are how I thrive.
\nYou showed us eternity, of which we are all part,
\nand my eternal master is always in my heart.
\nHow can it be that you are gone when you are in my mind?
\nWithout the vision of your words, to everything I\u2019m blind.
\nFor this moment it may seem that we are not together,
\nbut I have made a sacred vow no mundane thing can sever.
\nIf bound to you eternally, can there be separation?
