We are looking for a live-in assistant\/companion for a 64-year-old male devotee dealing with dementia-related issues. He is physically very healthy but easily confused and struggles with communication.<\/p>\n
The devotee owns a brand new 2-bedroom home located one block away from a thriving ISKCON temple community with an award winning Govinda\u2019s restaurant. This opportunity includes a private bedroom\/bathroom plus financial support according to qualification and need.<\/p>\n
An ideal candidate would be compassionate and patient, enjoy kirtan\/japa\/reading Prabhupada\u2019s books and follow the four regulative principles. A regular duty would be to help escort the devotee to the temple for part of the daily morning services, some evening programs during the week, the Sunday festival, and the occasional special event.<\/p>\n
Other tasks would include assisting with laundry, simple cooking, grocery shopping, light cleaning in the home, and accompanying the devotee on walks or other exercise-related activities.<\/p>\n
Finally, the candidate should be able to provide personal references along with a description of his background and any skills\/experience he feels would be an asset in filling this position.<\/p>\n
